Amal Osman is an undergraduate studying English and American Literature at the University of Kent. Born in Britain, she holds close ties to Sudan, with regular trips there to visit friends and family. In 2010, she studied English at the University of Khartoum, but returned back to England after a year to continue her education in London.
With both British and Sudanese culture to draw upon, Amal has had a very privileged life, being able to call two places home. To express her love and dedication to Sudan, she joins Rod Usher, Djamela Magid and Ali Ali to pursue Creative Writing from the Sudans, in hopes that the stories etched in the lands of her beloved Sudan are told.
